Reiki in Hospitals

Reiki is being recognized in various hospitals across the country and in many others all over the world. This technique is used to supplement conventional therapies and lessen the patient’s time in the hospital and need for medication. Hospitals nowadays recognize the advantages of using a range of beneficial modalities to enhance healing and quality of patient care. More and more top hospitals recommend other hospitals and health care institutions to get involved to include Reiki as an offering to their patients.

Reiki complemented with imagery and visualization may help patients to heal themselves because it has been clinically proven to support the body’s immune response to infections and cancer. Some doctors are hesitant to accept the technique if it is explained in metaphysical terms. They would rather have it explained in conventional terms such as promoting relaxation and healing. But others have been known to tell their patients who are receiving Reiki to carry on with their sessions since they can notice the benefits of Reiki. Further, there are many doctors that have been taking Reiki classes as well.
